CADET AFRICA TROPHYThe 2016 Africa Open will be held on Saturday, 20 August at Zwartkops Raceway.  Champions are not born – it requires commitment, dedication, passion and dreaming big.  The more experienced karters will be pulling out all the stops for the final seats for the Rotax World Finals in Italy.

Great news however, is that the future champions in karting will be competing for the new Africa Open Cadet Trophy.  Kart King has announced that the young guns in the world of karting, will be racing for the newly introduced awards.  It is important to develop karting in this country, and we have to start at grassroots.  The playing grounds have been levelled a little this year, and we have seen a steady increase in the numbers in the Cadet class.

There will be four awards for these young drivers – first, second and third overall will be the Cadets Africa Trophy.   The fourth award will be for the Rookie of the Year.  The Rookie Award will go to the quickest driver and only the Cadets who made their debut into the Cadet class in the current 2016 season, will qualify for this award.
