Zwartkops set for spectacular karting

On the Saturday, the 22nd of October, Zwartkops Kart Raceway will be hosting Round 5 of the Rand Kart Club championship and we are likely to see some fiery on-track battles that will excite drivers and spectators alike.

66 6143SMALLIn the Cadet class Muhammed Moerat and Judd Burtholdt are set to continue their close championship tussle. Muhammed currently leads the title race with 394 points, with Judd a close second with 386 points.

Moving on to Micro MAX, where Reece Fuller will be looking to extend his comfortable lead in the championship. Reece currently has 298 points, 150 points ahead of his closest rival. Melandri Van Wyk, Joshua de Paiva and Matthew Morrell will be fighting it out for 2nd place in the championship.

In Micro ROK, Giovanne Otto, Hriday Pooren and Simile Zamxaka will continue to fight it out for the title, with a mere 29 points separating them.

Maxterino is another class where we have a very tight championship race. Bjorn Burtholdt leads Matthew Morell with 387 points to Matthew's 375 points. Milan Otto is not far behind in third with 351 points.19 6239SMALL

Ethan Coetzee will be looking to consolidate his lead in the Mini MAX title race. He currently leads with 265 points, but Christiaan Van Wyk (254 points) and Tadiwa Foya (220 points) will be trying to snatch the lead away from Ethan. Mini ROK sees the same three fighting it out for the championship lead, but in this championship Christiaan Van Wyk holds the advantage over Ethan Coetzee, 393 points to 347 points.

In the Junior Clubmans class, Wayland Wyman holds a comfortable lead in the championship with 374 points. LJ Mginqi and Jamie Smith will continue their close fight for 2nd, with LJ leading Jamie 280 to 253 points. Nicolas Spanoyannis leads the close Senior MAX title race with 391 points, but Chandre Bothma is chipping at his heels with 366 points.

501 6782SIn the Clubmans class Ryan Schwartz leads the championship comfortably with 420 points but second place Johan van der Walt is still in the fight with 366 points. Saturday will also see the continuation of Eugene Gous and Philippe Chapat's fierce championship battle in the DD2 Clubmans class. Eugene leads Philippe with 376 to 360 points. Moving finally to the 125 GP class where Ian Basson (268 points) holds a narrow lead over his nearest rival Andreas Kyriacou (224 points).

Anything can happen at Rand Kart Club Round 5, but what is clear is that the racing will be something that cannot be missed.
