Daniel Duminy Vereeniging SBallito kart racer Daniel Duminy was positive after a hard day at the races in spite of being unhappy after losing his championship chance when he was nudged off track to finish down the field in the first of four high school 125cc Junior Max races at the Vereeniging National Karting Finals on Saturday.

“Firstly well done to Cameron O’Connor on his 2016 SA Junior Max title,” SMD Kosmic pilot Daniel congratulated the champion before reflecting on his own day at the office. “We win together, we loose together,” Duminy admitted. “I was on course for some good championship points before I was taken off in the first race, but that was the end of my championship chance.

“Still, we came back well and I was happy to improve through the day to end up second in the final race — Saturday may not have been my best day, but we were fast and we had good pace all week,” Duminy concluded as he looked ahead to his next race in the VW Polo Cup:“I’m looking forward to hop in and race my blue machine at Zwartkops in a few weeks time - bring it on!”.
