The Council meeting is normally held in Europe but by way of a change for the 20th annual meeting, South Africa was chosen.

Twelve delegates from the more than 60 country world-wide distributor-network are invited including Australia, Asia, Belgium, Canada, Japan, France, Germany, Japan, Portugal/Spain, Southern Africa, UK and USA. These are all long standing Rotax distributors, circuit owners and promoters of the Rotax Max Challenge world-wide and provide feedback from their regions.

Heidenau, the German tyre manufacturer of the Mojo tyres, used exclusively for RMC series will also be represented. Rotax executives Stefan Gruber and Helmut Voglsam will stay on to attend the Rotax African Open event at Vereeniging on Sunday the 7th of July 2019.

South Africa hosted the 2002 Rotax Max Grand Final at Zwartkops Raceway and South African karters have a proud history of success at the Rotax World finals taking no less than 14 titles in various classes in the past two decades. The very popular Rotax Max Series runs at all levels from club racing, regional and national racing in more than 80 countries today, international events and series such as the Rotax Max International Trophy, Rotax Euro Trophy and the unique Rotax Max Grand Final - where champions from around the globe are given brand new karts, motors, tyres etc. to compete on a truly level playing field.
