Save the date for the RMC International Trophy 2022

Gunskirchen, Austria, JANUARY 25, 2022 – The RMC International Trophy is one of the biggest international events of the Rotax racing season and we are glad to announce that the date for the 2022 RMC International Trophy is fixed. As in the previous years, BRP-Rotax is partnering with 3MK Events and LeMans Karting International/ACO Automobile Club de l’Ouest, who are organizing the exceptional event in LeMans for the international Rotax drivers.

From July 26th to 30th, 2022, the legendary track in LeMans is opening its doors for the RMC International Trophy which welcomed in the past around 300 drivers from nearly 45 countries and 5 continents to compete for a ticket to the RMC Grand Finals, the prestigious annual highlight of the worldwide Rotax racing season.

In LeMans truly legends were born, and the history goes back to the 1970s-1990s when the Alain Prost circuit has seen the future stars of motorsport in their infancy at several World Karting Championships. Ayrton Senna in 1978, Michael Schumacher in 1985, Jarno Trulli in 1991, as well as Giancarlo Fisichella, Jos Verstappen, Allan McNish, Emmanuel Collard, Benoit Treluyer and Sebastien Bourdais who became famous among others on the 1172 m of the Alain Prost Circuit. In 2013 the ACO decided to revive the glorious past with the creation of the circuit LeMans Karting International. The 1384 m long track meets the safety standards of the CIK-FIA, has an ultramodern infrastructure and is known as fast, spectacular and technical in the karting community.

Peter Ölsinger, GM BRP-Rotax Member of the Management Board, VP Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications: “This event gives our worldwide Rotax racers the opportunity to challenge in an international field of drivers which creates a complete different atmosphere and experience. Especially our youngest drivers, the Rotax 125 Micro and Mini MAX categories, can gain so much knowledge for their further racing career. Beyond that, this prestigious location in Motorsport has its own very special ambience that is incomparable.”

As in the last years, the categories Junior MAX, Senior MAX, MAX DD2 and MAX DD2 Masters will be awarded with one of the sought-after tickets for the respective winners to the RMC Grand Finals which will take place in Portimao, Portugal from November 18th to 26th, 2022. Furthermore, numerous other amazing prizes will be awarded at the RMC International Trophy.
Save the date for this impressive race in LeMans from July 26th to 30th, 2022!
