Gunskirchen, Austria, May 21, 2026 – The Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) will return to the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve this season for the fifth time in 26 years.
BRP-Rotax is pleased to announce the official chassis partners for the season highlight event which will be hosted by one of Europe’s longest karting circuits from November 7-14, 2026.
In a continuation of the solid partnerships already established with Rotax over the past decades, Sodikart, Birel ART and IPKarting remain the selected manufacturers for this year’s RMCGF. In excess of 400 brand new karts will be supplied for the qualified drivers racing in Portugal.
This amazing international event personally invites the best-placed competitors from around the globe who qualify through the many RMC championships. Up to 60 national teams will race at the 26th edition of the RMCGF, competing on equal equipment with factory support. The chassis partners provide technical advice and essential parts service for each class. At 1.53 kilometres, the Portimão track located by the Algarve coast is an ideal venue to host this unique karting event, in what has become an iconic contest for the elite Rotax titles.
The Rotax E10 will make its exciting RMC Grand Finals race debut in 2026. Fitted with the Rotax E-Powertrain, it’s designed for the new generation of young Bambini and Mini drivers. A total of 36 qualifiers from RMC series will participate in this history-making class for the title.
Supplying the chassis for the newest category at the RMCGF is IPKarting based in Verona, Italy. “I’m very happy to announce that IPKarting will take part also in the new electric Rotax E10 category during the next RMC Grand Finals,” explains Daniel Sliva, CEO IPKarting. “It is confirmation of our long-term partnership between Rotax and IPK which started back in 2012 in Portugal as well. This year we are supporting three categories with two of our innovative brands, including the vibrant Praga blue for Micro MAX / E10, and in its third appearance, the turquoise green Formula K in Senior MAX. Our team looks forward to returning to Algarve.”
The Italian manufacturer Birelart, situated in Milan, has been in the industry almost 70 years. “Birelart is proud to confirm its participation in the 2026 Rotax Grand Finals,” said Ronni Sala, CEO Birelart. “We are ready to support the drivers with our flagship models of Birelart for the DD2 category and the Charles Leclerc Kart for Mini MAX. Supplying our chassis for such a prestigious event remains a fundamental pillar of our racing strategy and a testament to our commitment to excellence in the world of karting.”
World-renowned for being the successful French manufacturer in global karting is Sodikart. “Sodi-kart is proud to be an official chassis partner once again for this major Rotax event and to be represented across four categories in 2026, including the E20 E-Kart,” said Rémi Niero, CEO Sodikart. “In addition to Junior MAX, we are especially pleased to return to the Rotax DD2 Masters, a class in which Sodikart has enjoyed strong success and reliability in the past. In recent seasons, Sodi chassis have delivered top performances at the international level in major Rotax events such as the RMC Euro Trophy and the RMC International Trophy. Some talented drivers have excelled in the Sodi-kart colours, and a new generation continues to confirm the competitiveness of the brand. As a key player in Rotax racing, Sodikart is proud to be competing at the highest level and supporting drivers at the biggest international events.”
“At BRP-Rotax, we recognise how important it is to work together with competent and reliable partners when it comes to ensuring we meet the expectations of our drivers at the RMCGF,” said Stefan Gruber, Manager Rotax Karting & OEM Business. “We are pleased to announce long-term partners IPKarting, Birelart and Sodikart as the chassis suppliers in 2026, sharing the passion for Rotax racing with us. Our qualified RMC competitors have a real opportunity to make the difference on track, when we offer them the optimum quality and parity of the Rotax MAX engines and E-Powertrains combined with top-of-the-line chassis and MOJO Racing Tyres.”
