Welcome to Round One of the Rotex Regional Championship in Karting at Zwartkops Raceway! This event is a true family affair, with parents, siblings, and everyone involved in the excitement of preparing for the race. In this video, discover a journey in karting. Karting involves meticulous preparation, like scraping rubber off the tyres after every session and using control fuel the organisers provide. It’s a tight-knit community where everyone helps each other out. Racers, some as young as five and six, have achieved incredible speeds of up to 68 kmph on the straightaways, making us all very proud.

Meet some of our racers: Kian Clay (#99), Enzo, Rafael from Singapore, Theo (#30), and K-Raph (#25). The joy and thrill they get from racing bring us all together, even though it can sometimes be nerve-wracking. For many families, including those who travel from far away, karting is a bonding experience. We hear from a father who flies in from Singapore because there are no races for young kids there. It’s a significant commitment, but the time spent together is invaluable. Our young racers are learning and improving every day. Kian, for example, managed to secure the fifth position.

While others are still finding their footing, the progress is evident, and the future holds many possibilities. Whether they pursue karting as a hobby or professionally, the exposure and experience they gain now are invaluable.

Karting isn’t just about racing; it’s about family, bonding, and the love for the sport. Enjoy the video, and join us in celebrating these young talents!
