FOLLOWING INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS

In the quest to achieve 100% parity we will follow the international regulations even more closely in 2025. Below is a summary of important changes and the class specific chang-es.

1. CRANK CASINGS FOR MICRO MAX AND MINI MAX
The only crankcases legal to be used for racing in the 125 Micro MAX and 125 Mini MAX categories will be the original machined pick-up flange type with casting codes 6211885 (ignition sensor side) and 6211893 (clutch side). We are running a special campaign to upgrade casings at R 7950 including VAT for the casings. Bring your old casing to EMR or EMR Kartsport to have the engine number scribed and old casings disposed of.

NB! All older EVO crankcases must have the pick-up assembled with 1x Additional gasket and 5kg must be added to their total class weight. The engine will be clearly marked for easy identification at the scale, i.e. Micro Max 110kg and Mini Max 120kg when using any older casing (other than pick-up side 6211885 and clutch side 6211893).

2. MINI MAX CYLINDERS
Only QR barcoded cylinders 2024 and newer will be allowed for Regional and Na-tional racing. If you have engines with the older type cylinders, please take ad-vantage of the opportunity to upgrade before 31 December 2025 at the reduced price of R 9 014 including VAT. There is no limit on quantity per competitor, but or-ders need to be placed by the end of November to ensure timeous supply. Previ-ously registered 3D printed cylinders may compete in Mini Max at a weight lim-it of 120kg. The cylinder will be clearly marked for easy identification at the scale.

3. MINI MAX EXHAUST RESTRICTOR AND GEARING
Mini Max will go back to the International Specification for the exhaust restrictor of 22mm diameter and the gearing of 13:80.

4. JUNIOR MAX CYLINDERS
Previ-ously registered 3D printed cylinders may compete in Junior Max at a weight limit of 150kg. The cylinder will be clearly marked for easy identification at the scale.

5. SENIOR MAX
Everything remains the same for Senior Max.

6. DD2
Everything remains the same for DD2

SARMC POINT SCORING CHANGES

Namibia, Kenya and Mozambique are welcomed back as regions in the SARMC Cham-pionship. Regional point scoring will reward participation with one participation bonus point scored per race started at nominated SARMC Regional events. Every competitor from each region will start the SARMC National Championship on an equal footing.

PRACTICE BAN
– CIRCUIT CLOSURE AT NATIONAL EVENTS

Circuits will be closed to all national competitors, as well as the equipment to be used in the National Championship event from 17:00 on the Sunday, a minimum of 10 days prior to a National Championship event until 09:00 on the Thursday (or Friday where the final is on Sunday) of the event. Competitors transgressing this regulation will start each race from the back of the grid.

NB! Competitors participating in race events at the same circuit within one week prior to any SARMC National event will not be permitted to practice before official practice on Fri-day (or Saturday where the final is on Sunday). The circuit remains closed for these com-petitors from the end of the event until the start of official practice.
