NEWS FLASH – Bambino Competitors Engine Upgrade

Time for an update about the exciting upgrade from the Comer C50 to the more powerful 2022 C52 model.

To upgrade any existing C50 to the 2022 C52 specifications you need:

C50 to C52 Upgrade Kit:

• 1 x C52 Crankshaft
• 1 x C52 Cylinder
• 1 x C52 Piston
• 1 x Gasket Set
• 1 x 0.7 mm Steel Spacer

As promised, we have negotiated a very special deal with the supplier and can now offer the first 30 kits at a rock-bottom price of R 4 990 including VAT. Kits should arrive soon and first come first served – maximum one per customer at this time.

Labour cost should be discussed with your favorite engine builder but should be like a normal rebuild.

Dyno testing, and initial track test results look great, and we will now involve engine builders and all interested parties in final track testing to complete the spec sheet for 2022 by the end November 2021.

New engines at R 16 220 including VAT and the next 12 complete new karts at a reduced price of R 39 900 including VAT should be available in the third week of November 2021 – order now to avoid disappointment. First come first served.

Given the very low cost of upgrading it seems clear that one class based on the C52 engine is the way forward and not fragmenting into an A and B class.

Naturally a C50 can still race as is. This is ideal for a beginner, but it will not be winning races. NB! The Comer C50 is no longer in production. So, no new engines are available and in time C50 cylinders, pistons and crankshafts will not be available.

Either the chassis with the existing bodywork or the new style Blue Boy body will be eligible, and both will be competitive.
